Terms of Use

Last updated: August 20, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of digital wallpaper products from wallpaper.editions ("we," "us," "our"), available through this website. By placing an order you agree to these Terms. Please read section 9 carefully, because it explains how your right to cancel is affected when you ask for immediate delivery.

1. Disclosure: how this artwork is made

The wallpapers and visual artwork sold by wallpaper.editions are created using generative artificial-intelligence tools. Images are produced with AI image-generation software, then selected, edited, colour-corrected and assembled into collections by us. We disclose this openly in these Terms, which form part of the contract you accept when you place an order.

You should understand two practical consequences. First, the legal status of copyright in AI-generated images differs between countries, and in some jurisdictions material generated principally by AI may attract limited copyright protection or none at all. Second, we therefore do not promise that any particular image is protected by copyright, and your rights to use the files come from the licence granted in section 4 rather than from any assertion of ownership.

2. What you are buying

wallpaper.editions sells digital image files. You are buying a licence to download and use those files, delivered electronically as a ZIP archive. No physical item is manufactured, printed or shipped, and no physical goods form part of your order.

Each collection contains desktop wallpapers. Every purchase also includes four iPhone wallpapers at no additional charge.

3. File specification and compatibility

Desktop wallpaper files are supplied as JPEG images measuring 1672 x 941 pixels. We describe them as desktop wallpapers and we do not describe them as 4K, Ultra HD or any higher resolution. If a specific resolution matters to you, please check this figure before purchasing.

Because displays, operating systems and scaling settings vary, we cannot guarantee that every image will fill every screen without cropping or scaling. If a file is unusable on your device, contact us and we will help or refund you under section 9.

4. Licence granted to you

Subject to payment, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to:

This is a licence for personal, non-commercial use.

5. What the licence does not permit

You may not:

If you want to use an image commercially, contact us and we will tell you whether a separate licence is available.

6. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the collections, the curation and arrangement of images within them, and our names, logos and site content. To the extent that copyright or other intellectual-property rights subsist in the individual images, those rights remain with us or our licensors, and nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of them to you. Where such rights do not subsist, the restrictions in section 5 continue to apply as contractual obligations that you accept when you buy.

7. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and are payable at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never receive or store your full card details. Prices and available collections may change at any time, but the price you pay is the price displayed when you complete your order. You are responsible for any taxes or charges applied in your own country.

8. Delivery

Immediately after payment we email a download link to the address you give at checkout, normally within seconds. The link remains valid for 7 days and may be used up to 5 times. Your bonus iPhone wallpapers are available from the same page and do not consume one of those uses.

If your link expires or stops working before you have downloaded your files, contact us and we will issue a replacement at no charge.

9. Right of withdrawal, cancellation and refunds

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content without giving a reason.

That right is lost once delivery of the digital content has begun, provided you gave express prior consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal. The checkbox you tick before completing payment is that consent and acknowledgement. This reflects Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, implemented in German law by section 356(5) of the German Civil Code (BGB), and the equivalent provisions of the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. We record the date and time of your acknowledgement with the payment.

If you do not wish to waive that right, do not tick the box and do not complete the purchase, and no charge will be made.

Separately from the withdrawal right, we will repair, replace or refund where the files you received are missing, corrupted, materially different from their description on this site, or otherwise not as described. Contact us and we will resolve it. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory remedy you have for digital content that is faulty or not as described.

10. Acceptable use of this site

You may not use this site for any unlawful purpose, attempt to bypass payment, interfere with its operation or security, or abuse the download system. We may refuse service or revoke access where these Terms are broken.

11. Warranties and disclaimers

We provide the files with reasonable care and skill, and we warrant that they will correspond to their description on this site at the time of purchase. Beyond that, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the files are supplied "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the site or compatibility with every device or display configuration.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any warranty, guarantee or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including the statutory rights of consumers.

12. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the version published when you place your order, and we date each revision at the top of this page.

14. Governing law

wallpaper.editions is established in Germany. These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

If you are a consumer resident in another country of the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection given to you by provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement under the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country where the law entitles you to do so.

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
